Everyone knows what it is. Very few people actually don’t smoke it. Those that don’t, well, that’s there prerogative. In this day and age of 2013, it’s pretty silly to say that weed poses any sorts of risks or dangers to your health.
Please note, I am not condoning the use of smoking marijuana, or saying that it’s OK to do so, but I think you get my drift. Basically, we are of the opinion that weed is harmless…because…well…it is!
But this isn’t a debate about weed. This is more about whether or not weed can positively or negatively affect your athletic performance.

A study published in February 2009 in the journal Neuropsychopharmacology examined the effect of medical marijuana treatment in HIV patients who experience neuropathic pain. In this study, Dr. Ellis and colleagues found that 46 percent of patients administered medical marijuana experienced at least a 30 percent reduction in pain. In contrast, only 18 percent of patients administered placebo achieved similar results.
That’s one piece of vital information for you. Marijuana does cause some sort of pain relief, so there is a case to be made.
